Last week I had a bit of fun in Hardwick Park trying to take some pictures of us all as a family. The results were a little hit and miss and involved a lot of running about after I set the timer on the camera, keeping everyone in focus and positioned while I ran back to join them proved to be tricky. However, everyone was very patient, especially the little fella, despite the freezing cold.
I was quite pleased with the results and it gave me a chance to try out some new post-processing techniques.
I couldn’t resist putting up a few more of my favourite shots from last week’s newborn photoshoot.
The lighting was tricky but the little LED light saved the day! Definitely thinking about investing in a more powerful continuous light like the Litepanels Micropro.
Just finished editing yesterday’s bump shoot with my gorgeous wife. We’re expecting our second little one in April.
It was freezing but the light was great although it didn’t last long!
I love Hardwick Park as a location, it offers lots of possibilities and places to shoot.
Just finished taking a look at the first few pics from today’s newborn photoshoot.
The little fella fought his sleep until the light failed so had to think outside the box a little bit. I used a little daylight balanced LED video light to try something a bit different!
We got some fantastic weather for the photoshoot of today’s lovely wedding car.
I used the Photographer’s Ephemeris to pick Crathorne as a location as the direction of light this morning was ideal.
In order to make the shot I first exposed for the ambient then used a twin flash setup to light the car.
Hopefully next time I’m photographing Crathorne or Rockliffe Hall I’ll have some light like this!
I couldn’t resist putting up a sneak peek from this weekend’s photoshoot in Ropner Park. The weather was great, we were so lucky, and the boys were both on great form!
Sometimes life goes by so fast you just don’t have time to reflect and remember the things you have done.
At the end of the summer we had a fabulous family day out at Beamish and today I was flicking through the snaps I had taken. This picture of my little boy was taken on the steam train, he had a wonderful day.
I suppose this is the great thing about photography, it captures those moments forever.
A great bump photoshoot in Ropner Park, the weather turned against us a bit but we still had a good time!
I’m running autumn mini sessions at Ropner Park this Saturday. The weather forecast looks like it should be good and the colours are beautiful at the moment. Check out my facebook page if you would like book a slot!
