Fun in Hardwick Park – mdphoto

Last week I had a bit of fun in Hardwick Park trying to take some pictures of us all as a family. The results were a little hit and miss and involved a lot of running about after I set the timer on the camera, keeping everyone in focus and positioned while I ran back to join them proved to be tricky. However, everyone was very patient, especially the little fella, despite the freezing cold.

I was quite pleased with the results and it gave me a chance to try out some new post-processing techniques.

Engagement photo shoot – Stowe Gardens Landscape Park – mdphoto

Finally found the time to upload some images from my recent engagement shoot with Michael and Colleen.

The photo shoot was part of an Aspire training course with Kate Hopewell-Smith, on the course I picked up loads of tips on posing and creating beautiful lifestyle images – I cant wait to put it into practice!

Bump shoot – Hardwick Park – mdphoto photography

Just finished editing yesterday’s bump shoot with my gorgeous wife. We’re expecting our second little one in April.

It was freezing but the light was great although it didn’t last long!

I love Hardwick Park as a location, it offers lots of possibilities and places to shoot.

Wedding car photoshoot – Crathorne and Rockliffe Hall – mdphoto

We got some fantastic weather for the photoshoot of today’s lovely wedding car.

I used the Photographer’s Ephemeris to pick Crathorne as a location as the direction of light this morning was ideal.

In order to make the shot I first exposed for the ambient then used a twin flash setup to light the car.

Hopefully next time I’m photographing Crathorne or Rockliffe Hall I’ll have some light like this!

Family Time

Sometimes life goes by so fast you just don’t have time to reflect and remember the things you have done.

At the end of the summer we had a fabulous family day out at Beamish and today I was flicking through the snaps I had taken. This picture of my little boy was taken on the steam train, he had a wonderful day.

I suppose this is the great thing about photography, it captures those moments forever.
